12” x 12” x 1 1/2” These are original paper collages. They are mounted on wood cradle boards and wired, ready to hang. They are not meant to be framed from my point of view. The sides have a beautiful natural wood finish, that is waxed.
Each collage is created from my hand painted rice papers, tissue paper, and miscellaneous vintage or found papers.
The inspiration for all of the collages in the Heart Messages collection come from the lyrics of songs that inspire me. Certain words or phrases just catch my attention and I collect them over time. When I am finished with the piece, I go through my collection of words and pick what appeals to me.
I also include numbers in my collages because numbers often mean something to me. Sometimes they are connected to titles...it's a little mysterious, but if you like certain numbers, then they will connect with you personally. The numbers are always up for your own personal interpretation.
12x12 “Stay A While” Original Mixed Media and Paper Collage
Dust lightly with a soft clean cloth. Keep out of direct sunlight to preserve the colors in the papers. I do treat with a UV protectant, but over a long time, papers may fade if exposed to sunlight. Treat as you would any fine art.
